Costa and Xander time

It's been lots of fun to be home and be able to see our families any time we want! Costa and Xander have had some pretty special days together....and Lynz and I too! They're so cute together and have become pretty good buds.

Halloween 2010

We had a fun filled WEEK of halloween this year. We were sad we didn't get to have our annual pumpkin carving party at our house this year because daddy had to go back to guadalajara for a month. But, we did have fun carving pumpkins with Justy and Belles at their house. Thanks to Justin for helping with the dirty work that Erik usually does! I was surprised the kids actually liked getting the gunk and seeds out. I was pretty proud of myself, though for helping carve the faces.....they turned out pretty cute!

The next fun event for the week was Costa's school halloween carnival. He was so excited to see all his friends and show them his costume! Ironman was a popular one this year, we must have seen 5 others!

Halle's school had a parade for all the parents to come see the kids in their costumes!

We were supposed to go to Aunt Lynz and Uncle Marks on friday night for a "trick or trunk" but due to Halle and I getting sick the day before, we were unable to go.....Halle had already invited her friend Lauren from school to join us, so we went to plan B......mcdonalds and a movie;) We made it a fun night!

AND.......last BUT not least, the night we were all waiting for HALLOWEEN! Halle and Costa acted like it was Christmas, they were SO excited to go trick or treating! We have been out of the states for the last three years, so Halle doesn't even remember trick or treating...so this was basically a first for both of them! We headed over to Justin and Libby's early to get ready and have some chili, then off we went! House to house to house to house.....for a couple hours! Costa was pretty much over it once his bucket was full. Halle wanted to keep going when hers was over full. Mom and Luke joined us as well...and Grandma and Papa Contreras came to see the kids too. Just what a prego needs....2 buckets full of candy in the house...lol! Super!

30 weeks!!!

Hi Baby boy!

I can't believe we're already at 30 weeks! Crazy how fast it's flown....we got to have another ultrasound and this time we actually got to see what you look like in 3D. Daddy, Halle, Costa and Grandma Gloria were there this time. We were all so amazed to see what you're little face looks like....you already have kissable chubby cheeks! We are SO excited to meet you! We're thinking you look like your big brother! I'm feeling good still...gained 28 lbs.....doing much better with that this time around;) Still LOVE to eat sugar(baked goods, preferably), but I'm working out still so that has to be helping. My belly is definitely growing! Your brother and sister kiss you everyday and are so excited for you to come out! Just about 2 months to go...can't wait!

Love,
Mommy

Date night...overdue

Les offered to babysit so we took her up on it before Erik headed to Guadalajara for a month. It was so nice to get out just the two of us....it seemed like it had been FOREVER! We went to Downtown Chandler Steak house.....the food wasn't so good, but we had great conversation. I LOVE these special nights;)

AND...even better Erik surprised me with a beautiful card...

You and I are connected
in a way that goes
beyond romance, beyond friendship,
beyond what we've ever had before.
It has defied time, distance,
and changes in ourselves
and in our lives.
And it has defied
every explanation except one-
purely and simply,
we're soul mates.
I can't explain it. I just feel it.
It's in the way my spirit lifts
whenever we talk,
how the sound of your voice
brings me home in a way
I can't explain.
It's in the way we laugh
at exactly the same things
and how just a look
can mean so much.
When I'm with you,
it's like a tiny part of the universe
shifts into the place
it's supposed to be,
and all is right with the world.
These things, and so many more,
have made me understand
that this once-in-a-lifetime
forever connection
that could only exist
between you and me...
an amazing gift of happiness
for all our lives.
This card says so many things so well.
You and me, in a nutshell.
I love you, and I can't wait to meet
our next kiddo.
We have an awesome family.
I am so lucky, I could go on forever
because we're awesome.
Love ya babe,
Me
P.S..Pretty excited about the next step....New York...it will be awesome!
Yep, without a doubt I have the most amazing husband a girl could ever ask for!

SUNS game

Mark and Lynz had 4 tickets to the Suns game and were super nice to give them to our family. Especially since Halle was out of school for fall break and we really didn't have anything fun planned. Costa was SO excited to see the basketball players in real life! They were both pretty in awe of it all. Costa was totally into the Suns dancers! He kept asking his dad when they were going to come back out. Erik got a pretty big kick out of this;) Fun family night! Thanks again Uncle Mark and Aunt Lynz!
