35 weeks and some maternity photos

I was so excited to do a few maternity shots this time around. I didn't do any with Halle, which I regret and thanks to my sis Lynz I have a few with Costa. It's such a special time and nice to have pictures to look back and remember. This shoot was kinda last minute, but we got some good shots! Costa was with me while Halle was at school so he got to be in one. My friend Pam did a fabulous job and I'm so thankful to her!

EXTRA special Thanksgiving

This year was an EXTRA special Thanksgiving for us! The kids and I were so excited to go pick daddy up at the airport Thanksgiving morning after not seeing him for a month. We missed him terribly!!!

Along with being a special Thanksgiving for us, it was also a little bit different. For the last 30 years of my life, my moms side of the family has had Thanksgiving dinner at my Grandma and Poppie Miller's house. This year, GG decided to hand it over to my sis Lynz to have at her house. SO weird...good, just weird! You know how much I love tradition, this just seemed so different to me. I know it's so much work for GG and Poppie, it's time for them to be able to relax and hand the work over to somebody else...they deserve this! Guess it's time for new traditions. It was crazy to me that Lynz and I were in charge of the turkeys....you should have seen us rubbing them and stuffing them...hilarious! We had so much fun! Lynz had delegated jobs to everybody that was coming, which also made things much easier. The kids were super excited about the gigantic bouncer they rented for the day! Lynz and Mark were great hosts for their first Thanksgiving dinner and it turned out really beautiful! Our family is so blessed and has SO much to be thankful for!!!

We ALSO missed Papa and Grandma Contreras' dinner at their house because they were in Virginia with Jeff and Anissa's family. We are really looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving with them next year when we live on the east coast!

Baby shower luncheon

My sisters were so sweet to throw me a baby shower luncheon at Arcadia Farms! They kept it very small and intimate and it turned out beautiful! I felt kinda weird having a baby shower for the third baby...but everybody kept reminding me that it's not for me, it's for him! He's just as special as #1 and 2!

Special people that were there:
Aunt Lynz
Aunt Les
Grandma Dottie
Uncle Luke
Grandma Gloria
Auntie Diane
Celeste
Bri
Big sis Halle
Big bro Costa
GG
Libby
Diana

We got so many things! Thanks everybody for a beautiful shower for our baby! XOXO

Halle made this card for baby:
I love you baby
Baby you are my best baby I've ever had
Baby, when you come out you are going
have a brother and a sister
whose names are Halle and Costa.

Halle and Costa wrote a message for me on their marker board
Happy baby shower
SO cute!

Costa's Fall Apples to Zebra's program day

Costa had a little program at school for his end of the fall session. They had prepared some songs to sing for their families. Grandma Dottie and Uncle Luke came to see him! Thanks guys!

Getting ready for baby

It's amazing to me this whole nesting thing....how one day you can be completely exhausted and not want to get off the couch, then the next day you can't scrub your house clean enough... Or get any more organized! It kinda makes you crazy.....

I was so lucky to have the help from Libby and Les to re-store my nursery furniture! I had an idea in mind and shared it with Libby and she was SO awesome to take charge and say "Let's do it Lex!" I was dragging my feet with the idea because I knew how much work it was going to be. Thanks to her for talking me into it and making it fun!!!! We decided to do it one night while Erik was gone.....a "girls" night with pizza, popcorn and painting! FUN! Les joined us and was an amazing help. We were able to get the crib and changing table done within 24 hrs.....and it turned out so cute! I LOVE it! And thanks to Aunt Lynz for letting us borrow the truck bedding and wall decor......the boys room is turning out really cute after all...
